First started playing "drums" with Chinese sticks and a drum kit made out of pots/pans at the age of 3. My parents quickly realized that I needed to be behind a real drum set and so by my Third Birthday they went to the closest Toys "R" Us to get me my first toy kit. Iwas playing for a New York City based Spanish Hard Rock band for 2 years and that didn't work out and so I was looking and trying out for many bands. I decided to open up a Myspace account and within the first hour of putting it up I received a message from Mister Daniel J asking if I played in a band and inquiring if I'd be interested in auditioning for a band. Since I had no pictures or information yet about myself I thought it was a joke from one of my friends or siblings. In any case it ended up being that what started off as a joke in my mind is very big reality in my life now. Daniel J is my "musical soulmate" and also part of my family. This band is a great thing not because of the music, which I love playing/performing, but more the group of guys and the team that supports it. It really is a wonderful ride. Hope you guys and gals out there are ready.

My Gear

I have a number of kits that I use. It really depends on my mood. Cymbal-wise, I have been combining Zildjian with Sabian. Use a variety of snares also, depending on what drum heads are not broken. Hardware is anything that can hold a cymbal or tom-tom. In the end, they ALL end up breaking very quickly.

Bands/Aritst

My biggest influence as a drummer is Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater. Hearing him was the first time I felt like a drummer was speaking with his playing. The sounds he was producing and his passion on stage are all things that attracted me. A few bands that influenced me: Blindside, Rage Against the Machine, Pantera, Anblerlin, Pax 217, and P.O.D. just to name a few

Favorite Movies

Wedding Crashers, Spaceballs, Super Troopers, Ace Ventura , History of the World, and Superbad.

Hobbies

Keeping in shape with any type of cardio, mostly consisting of running, bike riding, basketball, football, and chasing my 6 year old niece down. If I could afford a gym membership I would do it. Reading is fun when it involves pictures. (little joke) And lastly, I enjoy spending time with my family.
